Health
Depression (major depressive disorder or clinical depression) is a common but serious mood disorder. It causes severe symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working.
Not everyone who is depressed experiences every symptom. Some people experience only a few symptoms while others may experience many. Several persistent symptoms in addition to low mood are required for a diagnosis of major depression, but people with only a few – but distressing – symptoms may benefit from treatment of their typical depression. The severity and frequency of symptoms and how long they last will vary depending on the individual and his or her particular illness. Symptoms may also vary depending on the stage of the illness.
Depression and Medical Marijuana
Medical cannabis, cannabis oil, has been shown to improve depressive symptoms by stimulating the endocannabinoid system and increase neurogenesis, similar to the way many anti-depressants do. Medical marijuana also has more mild side effects compared to many popular anti-depressants (including physical pain, trouble sleeping, fatigue and sexual dysfunction. As long as the strain is correct, High CBD and the dosage is accurate, medical marijuana can be a very effective treatment for stress, depression and anxiety.
Dosing Cannabis Oil for Depression
Through our years of experience we have realised that THCA is best suited for treating Depression. THCA is more uplifting than CBD which most people that suffer from depression find the effects to be too subtle. THCA like CBD is relatively non-psychoactive in low dosages. One would dose it as you would THC to stay on the safe side, increasing dosages gradually every 48-72 hours, thereby avoiding getting high. One’s body adjusts building up a tolerance to the psychoactive effect thereby allowing one to increase the dosages as need be.
